Job Purpose
The Transformation Impact Manager leads the organization’s Impact function, ensuring that VisionFund Rwanda delivers measurable financial, social, and spiritual impact. The role champions the integration of Christian faith, servant leadership, and faith & development (F&D) principles into strategy, operations, and service delivery, while strengthening organizational learning and knowledge management.
Responsibilities
Faith, Identity & Organizational Culture
- Ensure VisionFund Rwanda staff live out the organization’s Christian faith and values in strategy, ministry, and operational practices.
- Champion, model, and support the integration of World Vision’s Christian identity across the organization, respecting denominational diversity and other-faith sensitivities.
- Equip leaders and staff to practice servant leadership and Christ-centered, incarnational ministry approaches.
Impact Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the Impact function, ensuring positive financial, social, and spiritual outcomes.
- Ensure Christian faith informs and strengthens the delivery of high-quality financial and non-financial services.
- Contribute to organizational strategy by embedding impact and faith perspectives into decision-making.
Knowledge Management & Learning
- Set and oversee strategic knowledge management priorities.
- Leverage faith & development knowledge as a strategic asset to enhance institutional impact.
- Facilitate organizational learning, reflection, and adaptive practices.
Resource Development & Adaptation
- Adapt and develop faith & development resources aligned with World Vision branding, communication standards, and F&D priorities.
- Strengthen staff understanding of how Christian faith informs service delivery and client engagement.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Support internal and external engagement to advance VisionFund Rwanda’s mission and mandates.
- Strengthen collaboration with leadership, staff, and partners to deepen faith-based impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring VisionFund Rwanda staff live out our Christian faith in all we do as reflected in strategy, ministry and organizational practices
- Leading the Impact function within the organization, ensuring that our work results in positive financial, social, and spiritual impact
- Equip staff to follow Jesus’ incarnational ministry model of servant leadership and of deep client listening
- Setting strategic knowledge management priorities to ensure that faith & development knowledge is leveraged as a strategic asset to enhance impact
- Adapting and developing resources (reflecting branding, communication and F&D priorities) that will influence and deepen all staff's understanding of WV’s Christian identity and how it informs our approach to work and delivery of financial services
- Championing, modelling and supporting the living out of WV’s faith and calling through equipping of leaders and staff (including staff of different faiths; reflect denominational diversity and other-faith sensitivities, where appropriate)
- Ensuring our Christian faith informs and supports the delivery of high-quality financial services and non-financial services (e.g., training of clients), and external engagement in delivering VisionFund Rwanda’s mission, mandates and impact of faith.
Requirements And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology / Biblical Studies, Development Studies, Organizational Leadership, Social Sciences, Business Administration / Management, Public Administration
- A master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
- Alignment with World Vision’s Christian values and mission is essential.
Experience
- 7–10 years of relevant professional experience.
- At least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or management role.
- Proven experience in faith & development, impact management, organizational transformation, or development programming.
- Experience working in a faith-based organization, NGO/INGO, or microfinance institution is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Ability to integrate faith, strategy, and operational delivery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of servant leadership and adult learning principles.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with staff of diverse faith backgrounds.
