Job Summary
The Digital Twin & Synthetic Reality Specialist annotates 3D point-cloud and LiDAR datasets, verifies physics-consistency (gravity, lighting, collisions) in synthetic environments, semantically labels digital twins of complex facilities, and evaluates Sim2Real performance gaps to optimize Spatial AI systems.
Key Roles & Operational Responsibilities
1. 3D Point-Cloud & Spatial Annotation
- LiDAR & Depth Processing: Work directly with 3D point-cloud, depth map, and spatial data to identify and bound objects in 3D space.
- Volumetric Understanding: Ensure computer vision models grasp volume, distance, perspective, and spatial coordinates beyond flat 2D pixels.
2. Physics-Consistency Auditing & Synthetic Environments
- Simulation Verification: Audit synthetic (AI-generated) 3D environments to ensure physical laws—such as gravity, object collisions, surface textures, and lighting dynamics—behave accurately compared to real-world physics.
- Spatial Semantic Labeling: Annotate functional elements within Digital Twins of industrial sites, factories, hospitals, or urban infrastructure to train AI on machinery function and environment navigation.
3. Synthetic-to-Real (Sim2Real) Validation
- Reality Gap Identification: Benchmark AI navigation and perception performance in simulated environments against real-world test results.
- Dataset Calibration: Correct and re-annotate training data to close perception gaps and improve autonomous system performance.
Foundational Capabilities & Prerequisites
Core Technical Experience & Aptitude
- 3D & Spatial Awareness: Comfort working with 3D data formats, spatial coordinates, point-clouds, or computer vision environments.
- Detail-Oriented Observation: High attention to detail for identifying anomalies in spatial geometry, lighting anomalies, or physical inconsistencies.
- Tech Adaptability: Ability to learn specialized 3D annotation software, simulation platforms, and data pipeline tools quickly.
Additional Listed Qualifications (As per posting)
- Educational Baseline: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Language Requirements: Native-level proficiency in primary language + minimum B1 (Intermediate) English proficiency.
- Analytical Eye: Precision in identifying pixel-level or structural anomalies.
