Job Summary
The Lead Instructor delivers the AI Product Management curriculum, guides students through MVP development and go-to-market strategies, and manages Teaching Assistants (TAs). This instructor teaches product discovery, PRD writing, and AI-assisted workflows, evaluates student assessments, collaborates with global teams to refine curriculum assets, and drives career readiness alongside Career Advisors.
Key Roles & Operational Responsibilities
1. Curriculum Delivery & Practical Instruction
- Core Product Instruction: Teach essential product management concepts, including discovery, Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks, backlog management, roadmap architecture, and PRD authoring.
- AI Tool Integration: Train students on using AI-assisted tools for product research, competitive analysis, prototyping, MVP validation, and performance monitoring.
- Project-Based Mentorship: Guide students through practical, real-world simulations that mirror product lifecycles, from discovery to go-to-market execution.
- Schedule Ownership: Deliver interactive instruction during official program hours, including required Saturday teaching sessions (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM CEST) and weekday hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM CEST).
2. Academic Leadership & Community Management
- Student Success & Feedback: Administer learning assessments, evaluate projects, and deliver prompt, actionable feedback to ensure students achieve program learning outcomes.
- Team Supervision: Manage and direct local and central Teaching Assistants (TAs) to maintain high instructional standards across the cohort.
- Inclusive Learning Culture: Create an energetic, supportive online community that accommodates varied learning styles and encourages peer collaboration.
- Career Collaboration: Partner with Program Managers and Career Advisors to prepare students for career transitions into product management roles.
3. Curriculum Co-Creation & Global Alignment
- Content Optimization: Adapt Ironhack's global curriculum to build localized lesson plans, exercises, and mini-projects.
- Feedback Loop: Collaborate with the Global Education Team to share classroom insights, refine lesson materials, and support rollout of new instructional content.
Foundational Capabilities & Prerequisites
Required Technical Profile & Experience
- Professional PM Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in product management or a closely related role, preferably within digital products or technology companies.
- Agile Expertise: Demonstrated experience working with and teaching Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- AI Tool Fluency: Practical experience leveraging modern AI tools and workflows within product discovery, documentation, and design processes.
- Core PM Competencies: Proven mastery of product discovery, roadmap planning, user story writing, backlog prioritization, and MVP development.
- Instructional Skills: Ability to break down complex concepts, facilitate group work, adapt lesson plans on the fly, and engage adult learners effectively.
- Language Command: Complete professional fluency in English (all instruction and corporate communications are conducted in English).
