Job Summary
World Vision Rwanda is hiring a full-time Project Facilitator (UNHCR–PROFUTURO) in Akagera. The position manages digital education platform rollout, teacher ICT coaching, hardware safety, and district education alignment across refugee camp schools. Applicants require a Bachelor's degree in Education/ICT, 3 years of teacher training/ICT4E experience, and bilingual fluency in English and Kinyarwanda. Applications close August 3, 2026.
Key Roles & Operational Responsibilities
1. Planning & Program Implementation (50%)
- ProFuturo Platform Execution: Direct the field rollout of the ProFuturo digital education platform across targeted refugee camp schools and host communities.
- Curriculum Alignment: Align digital learning activities with Rwanda’s Education Sector Strategic Plan (ESSP) and ICT Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
- Equipment & Infrastructure Oversight: Conduct regular hardware/device reviews (laptops, tablets, networking kits) to guarantee functionality, user safety, and continuous internet connectivity (via cellular/USB connections).
- Platform Administration: Register platform users, configure digital classrooms, set course content, and conduct on-site testing with teachers and students.
2. Teacher Capacity Building & Coaching (25%)
- Comprehensive Teacher Training: Design and deliver training modules covering ProFuturo technology tools, digital pedagogy, platform navigation, and instructional content.
- One-on-One Mentorship: Provide targeted coaching to headteachers and educators facing difficulties with ICT tools, addressing skill gaps with customized refresher sessions.
- Onboarding New Staff: Facilitate initial ICT orientation for new teachers joining target schools.
3. Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning & Reporting (25%)
- Usage & Functionality Tracking: Review school schedules and digital usage logs to monitor device utilization and system uptime.
- Reporting & Compliance: Draft monthly and quarterly progress reports using ProFuturo templates, ensuring timely submission of mandatory statutory government reports.
- Best Practice Documentation: Capture case studies, innovations, and field insights to suggest platform design enhancements and guide future project scaling.
Foundational Capabilities & Prerequisites
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education or Information and Communication Technology (ICT). (Degrees from foreign institutions must have an official equivalence certificate from the Rwanda Higher Education Council - HEC).
- Professional Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in education programs, teacher capacity building, and ICT4E initiatives.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in standard software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital learning management platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and local network connectivity issues.
- Fast learner with deep aptitude for emerging ICT4E innovations and tools.
- Language & Travel:
- Professional written and oral fluency in English and Kinyarwanda.
- Willingness and physical capability to undertake up to 100% domestic field travel across remote community and refugee school locations.
