Job Summary

The Project Manager directs, structures, and ensures the successful end-to-end delivery of complex enterprise cloud adoption and migration programs on GCP. Core daily tasks include running technical scoping sessions with executive stakeholders, tracking sprint velocity across distributed infrastructure teams, managing project risks for containerized and AI-driven deployments, building custom change-management tracking systems, and serving as the primary delivery link between Zencore, the client, and Google Cloud's regional teams.

Required Enterprise Experience & Client Management

• Enterprise Client Mastery: Explicit, deep experience managing major implementations for Fortune 500 or comparable large-scale enterprise clients.
• Executive Communication: Proven track record running video-first steering committees, managing conflicting requirements, and presenting to C-suite stakeholders (CTOs, CIOs, VPs of Infrastructure).
• Cloud Services Background: Direct experience supporting enterprise customers from within a Cloud Professional Services Organization (PSO), elite IT systems integrator, or premier technology consulting firm.

Required Methodological & Operational Expertise

• Change Management Delivery: Demonstrated history of building metric frameworks to track cloud adoption, system utilization, and team proficiency across shifting corporate environments.
• Continuous Mentorship: A clear history of training, mentoring, or upskilling team members in agile delivery, process optimization, or change-management methodologies.
• Operational Diagnostics: Proven ability to quickly identify operational resistance, surface performance gaps among engineering cohorts, and execute targeted corrective plans.
• Analytical Problem-Solving: Exceptional logical reasoning and structural thinking, with a proven ability to bring order, documentation, and clear roadmaps to highly ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Video-First Engagement: Absolute comfort and professional fluency operating in a highly visible, video-first internal and client-facing remote communication environment.

Preferred Technical & Business Qualifications

• Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent practical field experience.
• Cloud Ecosystem Pre-sales: Practical experience in value-based technical consulting, proposal generation (RFP/RFI), and statement-of-work (SOW) drafting alongside major cloud hyperscalers, ideally Google Cloud.
• GCP Familiarity: High-level conceptual understanding of core Google Cloud offerings, including Google Compute Engine (GCE), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), BigQuery, Anthos, and Google's AI/ML product suites.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Cloud Delivery & Project Governance (35%)

• Direct Complex Migrations: Lead the cross-functional deployment of complex cloud migration strategies, ensuring on-time delivery across core compute, data, and machine learning tracks.
• Establish Project Scoping: Facilitate deep discovery sessions to gather technical requirements, define clear project scopes, and map out agile delivery milestones.
• Manage Risk Portfolios: Proactively identify hidden delivery risks, track project interdependencies, and implement quick resolution paths for complex engineering blockers.
• Run Agile Ceremonies: Organize and lead daily standups, sprint planning sessions, and post-deployment reviews across geographically distributed, cross-functional remote teams.

2. Stakeholder Integration & Hyperscaler Alignment (25%)

• Coordinate with Google Teams: Act as the central liaison matching Zencore’s delivery milestones with Google Cloud’s regional account teams, technical account managers (TAMs), and solution architects.
• Lead Executive Reviews: Prepare and deliver clear project health dashboards, resource forecasts, and velocity metrics to enterprise client executives.
• Manage Expectations: Navigate shifting client requirements gracefully, ensuring all technical changes align with budgeted parameters and agreed timeline constraints.
• Foster Trusting Alliances: Build deep, lasting advisory relationships with client tech leaders, positioning Zencore as a highly reliable partner during intense infrastructure changes.

3. Change Management Architecture & Adoption Analytics (20%)

• Track Adoption Metrics: Design and run analytical measurement systems to audit user onboarding, cloud consumption patterns, and overall system utilization post-migration.
• Mitigate Engineering Resistance: Identify cultural or technical resistance within client infrastructure teams early, applying targeted change-management plays to smooth transitions.
• Embed Transformation Activities: Blend change management, training, and operational handoffs seamlessly into the master cloud engineering project plan.
• Validate Project Readiness: Conduct thorough pre-launch assessments to verify that client operations teams are fully prepared to manage newly modernized cloud systems.

4. Technical Strategy & Pre-Sales Collaboration (20%)

• Support Value Consulting: Assist solution architects during the early pre-sales phase to run value consulting assessments and visualize the financial return of cloud modernizations.
• Review Scopes of Work: Provide critical operational feedback on proposed statements of work, ensuring execution timelines and resource allocations are realistic.
• Champion Team Kinship: Maintain a highly supportive, collaborative internal culture focused on Zencore's core value: Be Kind.
• Capture Process Improvements: Document post-project insights, reusable delivery frameworks, and specialized automation playbooks to optimize Zencore’s internal delivery engine.
