About the Job: The role is part of the Loss Prevention & Security team at Kigali Marriott Hotel, responsible for safeguarding guests, associates, and property while maintaining a secure and welcoming environment.
Job Summary: Patrol the property, monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and ensure the safety of guests, employees, and assets. Handle emergencies, conduct investigations, and maintain confidential records while supporting overall hotel operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
- Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire/life safety systems.
- Conduct daily hazard inspections and respond to accidents or emergencies.
- Complete incident reports and document security/loss prevention activities.
- Escort unwelcome persons from the property safely.
- Maintain confidentiality of security reports and property information.
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.
- Support emergency response, first aid, and CPR as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to maintain a safe environment.
- Comply with company policies, safety procedures, and Marriott quality standards.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; move, lift, or carry objects as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No prior work or supervisory experience required.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Attention to detail, problem-solving, and conflict management.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent walking, standing, or patrolling for extended periods.
- Potential travel within property and occasional after-hours shifts.
- Exposure to variable environmental and physical conditions.
