Job Summary
The Director of Establishment will hold complete operational and legal accountability for the educational, human resources, financial, and strategic performance of Polaris School, reporting directly to the Board of Directors and managing the complete IB accreditation roadmap.
Qualification
- Formal Educational Background: A Master’s degree (Bac+5 alignment) in Educational Administration, School Leadership, Management, Finance, Educational Sciences, Public Administration, or a closely related executive field.
- Specialized Leadership Credentials: Documented executive training in modern school management paradigms, official IB program certifications, or advanced certificates in international child protection/safeguarding systems.
- Linguistic Mastery: Elite, flawless bilingualism in French and English across both written and verbal channels, showing total ease in high-stakes negotiations, public speaking, and institutional branding.
- Core Professional Competencies: Demonstrated excellence in strategic planning, budgetary control, data-driven performance auditing, diplomacy, resilience, and intercultural team unity.
Experience
Candidates must showcase a comprehensive profile of executive-level management within elite international schooling networks:
School Management & System Leadership (Weighting: 30%)
- Educational Longevity: A minimum of ten (10) or more years of progressive, verifiable professional experience directly within the field of education.
- Multi-Cycle Ownership: Proven, hands-on experience acting in senior institutional leadership roles (e.g., Head of School, Executive Principal, Academic Director) covering multiple learning cycles (Primary through Secondary).
- Operational Control: Documented background managing school budgets, designing multi-tier human resource strategies, balancing administrative workflows, and supervising physical property infrastructures.
IB System Knowledge & Accreditations (Weighting: 15%)
- IB Framework Exposure: Deep operational familiarity with the standards, policies, and classroom practices of the International Baccalaureate continuum (PYP, MYP, and DP layouts).
- Accreditation Trajectory: Verifiable success navigating complex school approval, validation, or transformation processes with international accreditation bodies or the IB network.
- Multicultural Team Development: Proven ability to successfully recruit, onboard, evaluate, and retain a diverse, multicultural staff of local and international expatriate educators.
