UI Engineer

Job Summary

The UI Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable UI components using React and TypeScript. This role focuses on translating complex business logic into accessible, cross-browser compatible interfaces, conducting code reviews to maintain high quality, and actively contributing to technical documentation to support next-gen AI training workflows.

Experience

Candidates must demonstrate the following professional experience and technical skills:

• Frontend Track Record: Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience building, deploying, and maintaining web applications.
• Core Framework Mastery: Demonstrated expertise developing complex, responsive UI architectures using React and TypeScript.
• Core Web Technologies: Deep foundation in modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and semantic CSS3.
• Development Workflows: Full proficiency in version control tools (specifically Git) and active participation in agile software development methodologies.
• Web Standards: Practical experience ensuring cross-browser compatibility and implementing strict web accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Preferred Experience: Proven experience collaborating with distributed or customer-facing teams in a remote setting.
• Preferred Testing Skills: Familiarity with modern UI testing frameworks and end-to-end (E2E) testing best practices.
• Preferred Architecture: Direct exposure to building or maintaining comprehensive design systems and component-driven development workflows.

Key Responsibilities

UI Development & Architecture

• Build Scalable Components: Design, program, and maintain robust, reusable, and scalable user interface components utilizing React and TypeScript.
• Translate Requirements: Convert complex technical and business requirements into elegant, highly responsive, and user-centric frontend experiences.
• Optimize UI Performance: Champion frontend best practices, ensuring high code quality, asset optimization, and rendering performance across devices.

Quality Assurance & Peer Mentorship

• Conduct Code Reviews: Perform thorough, constructive peer code reviews to enforce frontend engineering standards and maintain code repository health.
• Resolve UI/UX Issues: Proactively identify, debug, and resolve interface bugs, responsiveness flaws, and usability friction points to elevate product quality.
• Implement Testing Standards: Utilize component testing principles to ensure UI resilience and consistent user workflows.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner Across Teams: Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to integrate seamless, end-to-end features.
• Maintain Documentation: Contribute actively to technical discussions, architecture alignment meetings, and internal team documentation to maintain clean records.
