Job Summary
The Spa Therapist will consult with guests to assess wellness needs, deliver specialized full-body and facial treatments, maintain the absolute sanitation of treatment rooms and equipment, manage spa inventory, and promote wellness products to enhance the guest's post-treatment routine.
Qualification
- Mandatory Professional Certification: A verified, formal certification or diploma in Massage Therapy, Esthetics, Cosmetology, or Holistic Therapies from an accredited training institution is strictly required.
- Hygiene & Safety Knowledge: Thorough operational command of international spa hygiene and safety standards, sterilization techniques, and cross-contamination prevention protocols.
- Anatomical & Treatment Literacy: Deep knowledge of diverse massage modalities (e.g., Swedish, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, Hot Stone), facial techniques, and skincare product ingredients.
- Communication Metrics: Highly developed interpersonal and active listening skills, with the ability to maintain complete guest confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Professional Treatment Delivery
- Professional Longevity: A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on, verifiable experience operating as a spa therapist or wellness practitioner within an upscale establishment.
- Luxury Hospitality Exposure: Prior background practicing within an upscale hotel spa, luxury resort, or high-end urban wellness club, demonstrating an understanding of refined guest expectations.
- Bespoke Consultation: Proven history of conducting safe pre-treatment assessments, identifying contraindications, and adapting treatment pressures or product applications to individual client needs.
Facility Management & Product Care
- Sanitation Governance: Documented background keeping treatment rooms, thermal suites, and physical workspace layouts consistently organized and chemically sanitized.
- Inventory & Retail Support: Experience monitoring specialized product shelves, evaluating oil and linen stock levels, and securely handling spa retail transactions or treatment upselling.
- Cross-Shift Syncing: Proven ability to communicate smoothly with front desk receptionists and housekeeping teams to ensure prompt appointment changes and rapid turn-around times for therapy rooms.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Consultation & Wellness Execution
- Deliver Premium Treatments: Execute professional body massages, facials, wraps, and holistic wellness rituals tailored to promote deep relaxation and stress relief.
- Conduct Client Assessments: Greet guests warmly, review wellness intake forms, identify health goals or physical restrictions, and recommend ideal therapies safely.
- Uphold Luxury Service Standards: Anticipate guest comfort requirements (e.g., ambient lighting, music levels, thermal preferences), delivering a highly attentive, thoughtful service environment.
Spa Hygiene, Safety & Care Compliance
- Govern Sanctuary Sanitation: Maintain a flawless environment by thoroughly cleaning, sanitizing, and resetting therapy rooms, tables, and product dispensers between guest treatments.
- Sterilize Specialized Tools: Ensure all hot stones, facial devices, and therapy equipment undergo rigorous disinfection protocols matching local health mandates and hotel safety guidelines.
- Manage Stock & Retail Lines: Track daily product consumption, log chemical inventories, and provide personalized post-treatment homecare recommendations to optimize retail sales.
- Participate in Team Syncs: Collaborate with front desk receptionists to orchestrate smooth scheduling, maximize time utilization, and transition treatment blocks efficiently.
