Senior User Experience Designer

Job Summary

Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) is seeking a highly creative and innovative Senior Experience Designer (Motion, UI, UX & AI) to join its Products team. The role focuses on designing intuitive, engaging, and user-centered digital experiences that enhance customer interaction with RSSB’s digital products and services. The successful candidate will combine expertise in UI/UX design, motion graphics, animation, and AI-assisted creativity to develop impactful digital solutions aligned with RSSB’s strategic goals and brand standards.

Reporting to the Head of Products, the Senior Experience Designer will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to create seamless digital experiences through user research, prototyping, motion design, usability testing, and AI-enabled interactions. The role also involves leveraging modern AI design tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Adobe Firefly to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and content creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, engaging, and user-centered digital experiences for RSSB products and services.
• Conduct user research and translate insights into effective design solutions.
• Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Develop motion graphics, animations, and interactive experiences that enhance product usability and engagement.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Perform usability testing and incorporate feedback into design improvements.
• Maintain and contribute to design systems and brand consistency across digital platforms.
• Leverage AI-powered design tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Adobe Firefly to support ideation, prototyping, and content creation.
• Ensure all digital experiences align with RSSB’s strategic objectives and user needs.
• Support the development of AI-enabled interactions and innovative digital solutions.
• Stay up to date with emerging design trends, technologies, and best practices.

Experience

• Strong experience in digital product design, UI/UX design, and motion graphics.
• Experience working with design systems and human-centered design methodologies.
• Experience collaborating within Agile product development environments.
• Experience conducting user research, prototyping, and usability testing.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Rive, and other modern design platforms.
• Strong knowledge of UI/UX design principles and interaction design.
• Experience creating motion graphics, animations, and interactive digital experiences.
• Familiarity with AI-powered design and content creation tools, including ChatGPT, Claude, and Adobe Firefly.
• Knowledge of design systems, prototyping tools, and usability testing methods.
