Core duties include coordinating civil sub-contractors; optimizing material supply chains; resolving onsite structural design bottlenecks; tracking budget metrics; and enforcing strict quality control protocols across the entire construction area.
Key Roles & Operational Responsibilities
1. Construction Onsite Governance & Resource Optimization
- Direct day-to-day operations across heavy civil infrastructure sites, ensuring workflows align with safety, environmental, and corporate quality management systems.
- Plan, schedule, and allocate heavy machinery, raw materials, and skilled labor teams to maximize productivity and reduce operational waste.
- Address and resolve on-site engineering challenges, structural design discrepancies, and spatial bottlenecks quickly to avoid timeline delays.
- Enforce strict compliance with local labor laws, construction codes, and international health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.
2. Project Scheduling & Lifecycle Control
- Partner with the Project Manager to create, update, and maintain master project schedules using MS Project and AutoCAD systems.
- Track site progress against target Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), implementing recovery plans when weather or supply chains disrupt timelines.
- Lead structural site assessments, inventory reviews, and sub-contractor progress audits to ensure work meets technical specifications.
- Manage administrative tools, utilizing SAP architectures to log resource movements, verify asset receipts, and authorize field expense lines.
3. Financial Stewardship & Performance Maximization
- Control on-site expenditure frameworks, managing material waste and labor budgets to support project profitability targets.
- Review sub-contractor invoices, performance logs, and engineering delivery reports, verifying work before signing off on payments.
- Provide accurate data to the Project Manager for monthly operational reporting, cost forecasting, and variation tracking.
4. Stakeholder Communication & Team Leadership
