Senior Node.js/AWS Developer

Job Summary

The Senior Node.js/AWS Developer writes scalable backend applications, maintains complex cloud orchestration pipelines, and optimizes high-volume database systems. This engineer designs out-of-the-box microservice architectures, diagnoses and refactors slow SQL and NoSQL queries, manages containerized deployments within serverless environments, and collaborates within Scrum sprints to deliver secure communication software.

Key Roles & Operational Responsibilities

1. Backend Engineering & Microservices Orchestration

• Scalable Codebases: Architecture, write, and maintain highly reusable, clean, and secure backend application code using Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript standards.
• Orchestration Engineering: Manage and improve core backend microservices that drive the EverTeam product, ensuring smooth state machine flows and data consistency across system components.
• Scaling Innovation: Research, design, and deploy creative out-of-the-box technical solutions to address rapid system growth and high-concurrency messaging challenges.

2. AWS Cloud Architecture & Serverless Infrastructure

• Serverless Blueprinting: Deploy and manage serverless architectures leveraging AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, and AWS Aurora frameworks.
• Containerization Governance: Build, package, and optimize containerized environments utilizing Docker, deploying them into production environments via AWS Fargate.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Maintain and expand automated cloud infrastructure models utilizing AWS CloudFormation scripts to ensure reproducible deployments.

3. Database Performance & Query Optimization

• Performance Tuning: Diagnose, isolate, and eliminate database performance bottlenecks, writing optimized relational queries in MySQL and key-value schemas in DynamoDB.
• Storage Strategy: Define efficient data caching, indexing, and clustering patterns to handle intensive real-time reporting pipelines from customer care centers.

Foundational Capabilities & Prerequisites

Required Technical Profile & Experience

• Experience Baseline: Minimum of five (5) years of progressive, verifiable professional experience focused directly on Node.js backend development and AWS cloud services.
• Cloud Infrastructure Tooling: Deep functional familiarity with the AWS serverless and containerized ecosystem, specifically:
  • AWS Lambda & API Gateway
  • Amazon Fargate & Docker container setups
  • AWS CloudFormation templates
  • Amazon Aurora & DynamoDB databases
• Database Mastery: Expert-level capabilities in identifying, diagnosing, and repairing database performance issues, with an emphasis on query optimization.
• Communication Command: Fluent written and verbal English communication tools, with a proven ability to articulate complex software issues clearly across distributed technical teams.

Desired Skills

• Frontend Familiarity: Practical exposure to or basic knowledge of modern frontend frameworks, specifically Vue.js, is considered a strong operational asset.
