Job Summary
The Senior Full-Stack Engineer builds user-facing components and backend analytics pipelines using Laravel and Vue to improve user signups, feature exploration, and customer conversion numbers. Core day-to-day responsibilities include launching interface widgets, building data tools and API sandboxes, setting up event tracking scripts across platforms like Segment and PostHog, running A/B tests on user journeys, and collaborating with cross-functional product divisions to clear out conversion bottlenecks.
Required Education
- Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a matching mathematical discipline.
- Alternative Route: A verified record of building elite technical products, scaling B2B web applications, and contributing to open-source software packages will be fully accepted in place of a traditional diploma.
Required Experience Parameters
- Minimum Required Industrial Experience: 5+ years of professional experience operating as a Full-Stack Engineer, Product Engineer, or Growth Engineer inside high-volume SaaS operations.
- Primary Software Stack Fluency: Advanced, hands-on production experience using Laravel for backend architecture and Vue (or directly comparable modern reactive frameworks like React) for frontend interface design.
- Funnel Architecture Literacy: A deep, practical understanding of SaaS user funnels, focusing on key metrics like user signups, onboarding flows, user activation markers, and trial-to-paid conversion steps.
- Data Instrumentation History: Direct experience integrating event-tracking systems and web telemetry tools such as Segment, Amplitude, PostHog, or Google BigQuery.
- Interface Design Standards: Strong design sensibility, with a verified portfolio demonstrating clean, pixel-perfect user interfaces that blend clean styling with user-focused workflows.
Key Responsibilities
1. High-Impact Growth Engineering & Funnel Architecture (35%)
- Ship Full-Stack Features: Design and deploy user-facing features across the registration and activation funnels using Laravel and Vue.
- Build Onboarding Workflows: Create intuitive onboarding flows, setup checklists, feature wizards, and interactive dashboards that guide users toward platform value.
- Develop Developer Tools: Build self-serve developer capabilities, including data previews, interactive sandbox environments, and web API explorers.
- Maintain Architecture Standards: Write clean, reliable, and well-performing full-stack code that balances quick feature delivery with long-term code health.
2. Behavioral Analytics Instrumentation & Data Operations (25%)
- Instrument Event Tracking: Set up custom behavioral event tracking tags across the application using Segment, PostHog, and Amplitude.
- Structure Data Pipelines: Build backend services and internal APIs that log user progress, support custom onboarding pathways, and send telemetry data to BigQuery.
- Define Activation Metrics: Collaborate with growth analysts and product managers to define, track, and monitor core activation milestones.
- Group Target Cohorts: Extract and review product usage metrics to build targeted user cohorts, identifying drop-off zones and product friction points.
3. Systematic A/B Testing & Funnel Experimentation (20%)
- Run Funnel Experiments: Design and run structured A/B tests across various registration landing pages to improve user conversion metrics.
- Launch Behavioral Triggers: Build and test behavioral nudges, targeted email alerts, and custom interface layouts driven by active application usage data.
- Apply Data-Driven Logic: Use the Pareto principle (the 80/20 rule) to focus development efforts on high-impact conversion updates rather than minor design revisions.
- Monitor Feature Performance: Set up log monitors, automated error alerts, and performance dashboards to track the visual stability of live experiments.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Product Guidance (20%)
- Connect Remote Teams: Act as the technical bridge between front-line user teams (Sales, Support, Marketing) and internal data engineering squads.
- Collaborate with Founders: Engage in regular technical and business strategy discussions directly with the CEO and the Director of Engineering.
- Protect Data Security: Maintain high architectural standards regarding global user privacy laws, GDPR requirements, and core security principles.
- Defend Project Priorities: Participate in honest product alignment loops, using clear data to challenge project assumptions and focus engineering energy where it creates the most business value.
