Sr. Environmental Health & Safety Engineer

Summary:

This role is responsible for implementing, coordinating, and monitoring safety and health programs and for developing, implementing and monitoring initiatives to engage employees in the safety and health programs.

Essential Functions:

• Implements and monitors safety management programs to ensure compliance and objectives.
• Develops, implements and monitors initiatives to engage employees in the safety and health programs
• Ensures employees are trained in Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs. Develops a support structure that fosters employee engagement.
• Performs hazard risk analysis, determination of effective controls and risk mitigation.
• Leads safety incident investigation teams to determine root cause, corrective and preventive actions.
• Establishes and manages ergonomic, injury case management and return to work programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree
• 4+ years of EH&S experience
• Experience implementing and monitoring safety programs in a manufacturing environment
