Job Summary
The Senior Content Marketing Manager directs the end-to-end B2B technical content engine, copywriting quality bars, and high-value account brand campaigns. Core responsibilities include interviewing internal cyber security engineers, drafting authoritative white papers and LinkedIn articles targeted at CISOs, managing cross-functional technical review cycles, steering the output of B2C creative agencies, and designing physical and digital event marketing assets.
Key Responsibilities
1. B2B Content Depth, Research & Thought Leadership (50%)
- Draft Credible Enterprise Copy: Author original long-form thought leadership articles, LinkedIn insights, downloadable white papers, and optimized landing page copy that appeals directly to CISOs, compliance managers, and technical practitioners.
- Conduct Subject Matter Interviews: Interview in-house security engineers and content developers to break down complex cybersecurity topics (e.g., threat hunting, vulnerability patching, compliance frameworks) into readable assets.
- Manage the Editorial Review Pipeline: Run a structured content review process from initial brief and engineering evaluation to final proofreading, publishing, and search engine optimization.
- Scale Content Engine Workflows: Build scalable content blueprints—including standard brief templates, technical approval steps, and strategic repurposing playbooks across LinkedIn, YouTube, the corporate blog, and email lists.
- Optimize Technical SEO Tracks: Collaborate with Growth and SEO teams to research keywords and create educational resources that rank for search intent while providing genuine practitioner value.
2. Enterprise Account Brand Activations & ABX Campaigns (30%)
- Execute High-Value ABX Outreach: Design and lead end-to-end account-based experience (ABX) gifting programs, multi-touch custom campaigns, and personalized outreach frameworks for target corporate accounts.
- Govern Strategic Event Copywriting: Establish campaign concepts, messaging themes, and executive collateral for specialized CISO roundtables, cyber security conferences, and digital customer experiences.
- Direct Brand Partnerships: Evaluate, select, and manage co-marketing integration opportunities, determining how the TryHackMe brand shows up across third-party networks.
3. B2C Brand Consistency & Creative Steering (20%)
- Uphold Corporate Communication Standards: Define, evolve, and monitor B2C tone of voice documentation, structural guidelines, and visual consistency metrics across all social networks, blogs, and customer lifecycle touchpoints.
- Provide Creative Direction: Review and guide the day-to-day writing and campaign designs produced by internal junior content creators and external agency partners.
- Support Growth Experiments: Give creative input on lifestyle marketing initiatives, email sequence tests, and user retention messaging experiments across the primary consumer product interface.
Experience & Competencies
Candidates must possess an elite technical portfolio, strong project management skills, and a clear understanding of the enterprise cybersecurity buying journey:
Experience Baseline & Domain Requirements
- Professional Tenure: Minimum of 5 to 8+ years of direct professional experience in content marketing, with a heavy emphasis on hands-on technical copywriting.
- Technical B2B SaaS Background: Proven track record creating deep, authoritative content for cybersecurity, B2B SaaS, developer infrastructure, or closely related technical audiences. Applications consisting entirely of high-volume generic consumer product copy will not be considered.
- SME Synthesis Capability: Exceptional interviewing and storytelling skills, with a proven ability to translate complex conversations with software or security engineers into structured, clear, and engaging long-form business narratives.
- Modern AI Workflow Fluency: A balanced, practical approach to leveraging generative AI purely as an efficiency tool (e.g., mapping research, building basic outlines, or transforming formats) rather than using it as a replacement for deep, original analytical writing.
Operational Attributes & Execution Skillsets
- Project Management Rigor: Strong organizational skills, with a proven track record of shipping complex multi-stakeholder campaigns on time across creative, product, and sales teams.
- Refined Design Sensitivity: Comfortable working with design, branding, and UX teams, maintaining a clear understanding of how written copy aligns with visual design to create impactful campaigns.
- Autonomous Execution: A self-starting professional who thrives in a distributed, remote-first environment, handling ambiguity with clear, proactive documentation and asynchronous communication.
Expected Outputs & Deliverables
- Authoritative, long-form technical blogs, white papers, and LinkedIn case studies that match the standard of cyber security practitioners.
- Repeatable content operations playbooks, research brief structures, and engineering feedback loops.
- Personalized message tracks, layout maps, and campaign templates for high-priority ABX target accounts.
- Clear brand guidelines, tone-of-voice training docs, and copy-edit reviews for consumer-facing communication channels.
