Job Summary
The SAP S4/HANA FI/CO Manager directs the regional setup, deployment, and day-to-day support of AGL's unified financial system. Core responsibilities include managing multi-country roll-outs, overseeing Level 1 and Level 2 support pipelines, setting SLA targets, building technical training plans, and expanding the local team into a streamlined competence center.
Qualification
Educational Level
- Minimum Requirement: Master's Degree (Bac +5 equivalent from an engineering school, business school, or university) with a formal specialization in Information Systems, Computer Science, Corporate Finance, or a related quantitative technical discipline.
- Preferred Asset: Formal certifications in SAP administration (such as SAP Certified Application Associate - Financial Accounting) and IT Service Management credentials (like ITIL Master or V4 Strategic Leader).
Experience
Candidates must demonstrate seasoned leadership across both corporate financial logic and complex enterprise software implementations:
ERP Finance Tenure & Project Mastery
- Core Professional Track Record: Minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive, professional experience directly supporting, configuring, or deploying large-scale Finance ERP platforms.
- SAP Environment Experience: Hands-on experience working with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA ecosystems—specifically within the Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules—is highly valued.
- International Roll-out Fluency: Proven experience managing international, multi-entity software roll-outs, including handling local compliance, currency variations, and cross-border integrations.
- Automation Software Familiarity (Preferred Asset): Previous experience with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) digitalization tools (such as ESKER) or financial data integration tools (such as NEOFI) is a significant advantage.
Team Management & IT Governance
- Leadership Footprint: Proven track record recruiting, building, and mentoring internal technical teams and managing external software consultants and vendors.
- Service Center Transformation: Experience transforming legacy technical teams into modern, process-driven application competence centers using clear KPIs.
- Linguistic Capability: Complete professional fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic ERP Deployment & Project Management (40%)
- Steer Deployment Strategies: Lead regional deployment plans for integrated SAP, ESKER, and NEOFI solutions based on directives from group headquarters.
- Coordinate Regional Roll-outs: Manage project lifecycles across country clusters, overseeing project framing, fit-gap analysis, blueprint development, system configurations, testing, data go-lives, and hypercare support phases.
- Mitigate Project Risks: Track project dependencies, monitor risks, and manage resource allocations to deliver systems on time, within budget, and under strict quality guidelines.
2. Application Support Management & Service Excellence (30%)
- Supervise Support Activity: Organize and manage the Level 1 and Level 2 application support pipelines, ensuring system errors and user requests are resolved quickly.
- Govern Service Levels: Establish, monitor, and report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) for regional business units.
- Optimize Data Interfaces: Track system interfaces between ERP modules and third-party applications, designing permanent corrective fixes to prevent data sync errors.
3. Competence Center Governance & Continuous Improvement (15%)
- Enhance IT Governance: Help drive corporate IT governance around SAP architectures, ensuring software configurations stay aligned with international financial rules.
- Track System Performance: Define, capture, and analyze system performance metrics and IT service KPIs to identify and implement areas for optimization.
- Maintain System Documentation: Oversee the creation of detailed process flows, technical configuration blueprints, and system user guides.
4. Team Transformation & Talent Mentorship (15%)
- Recruit & Develop Talent: Hire, train, and mentor the internal competence center team, including functional consultants, project managers, and support analysts.
- Lead System Migration: Guide legacy support teams through the transition to modern SAP, Esker, and Neofi systems, building a high-maturity technical workspace.
- Foster Team Dynamics: Build an inclusive, professional team culture focused on customer service and technical excellence.
Expected Outputs & Deliverables
- Successful configuration and deployment of the core SAP S4/HANA FI/CO model across assigned country clusters.
- A fully operational local Application Support Center meeting all target SLA performance thresholds.
- Comprehensive, board-reviewed deployment risk assessments, project budgets, and milestone schedules.
- Standardized, group-approved system blueprints, configuration logs, and user training manuals.
- A clear training and upskilling program transitioning legacy internal teams into certified SAP specialists.
