Job Summary
The Recruiting Partner manages full-lifecycle recruitment processes, maps candidate sourcing pools, and executes pipeline strategies to close technical and operational talent. This partner uses data analytics across the recruitment funnel to adjust sourcing paths, leads diversity-focused hiring initiatives, optimizes applicant tracking system workflows, audits regional compensation benchmarks, and provides strategic feedback to leadership to scale dynamic international teams.
Key Roles & Operational Responsibilities
1. Matrix Stakeholder Advisory & Strategic Consultations
- Strategic Thought Partnership: Serve as an internal consultant for business leaders and hiring managers across Africa, providing deep data insights regarding talent availability, localized advertising angles, and optimized interview architectures.
- Structural Pushback: Actively advise and challenge hiring teams regarding unvalidated recruitment timelines, baseline compensation frameworks, candidate level definitions, and optimal organizational structures.
- Process Optimization: Evaluate existing candidate evaluation tracks, building and implementing workflow improvements to maximize pipeline velocity, drop-off reduction, and overall team placement efficiency.
2. Full-Lifecycle Sourcing, Diversity Pipeline ownership & Closing
- End-to-End Execution: Direct the full talent acquisition lifecycle, from initial requirement gathering and creative candidate outbound sourcing to final negotiations and offer closures.
- Diversity Architecture: Design and deploy proactive sourcing plans that prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion metrics, building an exceptionally qualified and representative pipeline.
- Candidate Experience: Champion a first-class, highly engaging, and authentic candidate journey, ensuring every applicant interaction reflects Zipline's mission and core values.
3. Data Governance, Funnel Analytics & Tooling Optimization
- Funnel Analytics: Monitor, audit, and analyze critical recruitment data points across the entirety of the hiring funnel, executing rapid strategic shifts based on conversion ratios.
- Sourcing Engineering: Creatively leverage modern candidate identification platforms, multi-channel networking assets, and professional databases to uncover extraordinary passive talent.
- System Upkeep: Maintain absolute data integrity inside internal databases, tracking candidate records, feedback trails, and interview evaluations.
Foundational Capabilities & Prerequisites
Required Technical Profile & Experience
- Experience Baseline: Minimum of five (5) or more years of progressive, high-volume, full-lifecycle recruiting experience within fast-paced, high-growth startup environments or multi-regional corporate structures.
- Talent Sourcing Track Record: Proven, verifiable history of successfully sourcing, engaging, and closing top-tier operational, commercial, or complex technical profiles.
- Analytical Capability: Expert familiarity with tracking, evaluating, and interpreting standard recruiting metrics to build and deploy data-driven talent acquisition strategies.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional project management and stakeholder engagement capabilities, with a proven ability to lead with authenticity, manage expectations, and navigate friction comfortably.
- Language Proficiency: Complete verbal and written fluency in English.
