The QA Automation Engineer reviews, designs, and refactors automated test frameworks to train and evaluate AI software development tools. Core daily duties include auditing AI-generated test scripts and API collection validations, verifying end-to-end user path coverage, identifying hidden edge cases or flaky test patterns, and writing structured, institutional-grade technical breakdowns to train frontier LLMs in robust software verification practices.
Foundational Engineering & Test Automation Prerequisites
- Automation Tooling Mastery: Expert-level proficiency with Selenium and Cypress for web UI testing, along with Postman for comprehensive API verification.
- Framework Architecture Depth: Strong command of foundational QA automation principles, with verified experience designing, scaling, and maintaining custom automated test frameworks.
- Process Methodology Literacy: Thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and structured defect management flows.
- Communication Articulation: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with a critical emphasis on explaining defect root causes, test design trade-offs, and logical testing flaws clearly.
- Distributed Experience: Proven track record of operating successfully, efficiently, and independently within a distributed, remote-first development team framework.

Key Responsibilities
1. High-Fidelity Test Evaluation & LLM Alignment
- Critically review, score, and optimize automated test scripts, validation criteria, and framework mockups generated by frontier AI models.
- Evaluate AI-generated testing portfolios for syntax correctness, framework conventions, proper assertions, and adherence to modern QA design principles.
- Construct clear, step-by-step logic breakdowns and structured script refactorings to show AI models how to eliminate flaky behaviors, optimize element selectors, or fix asynchronous race conditions in Cypress and Selenium.
- Build advanced, multi-tiered testing scenarios containing deliberately hidden software bugs or broken selectors to stress-test the model's test maintenance and self-healing code logic.
2. End-to-End Test Design & Framework Maintenance
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test scripts across web and API layers to establish pristine baseline training assets.
- Construct robust API testing suites using Postman, verifying data contract boundaries, error handling routes, and request chaining sequences.
- Collaborate with internal software developers, product owners, and data scientists to translate complex product feature requirements into clean automated test coverage maps.
3. Documentation, Code Review & Alignment Strategy
- Document test cases, validation steps, and system issues clearly to support seamless communication across the global expert network.
- Participate actively in peer code and framework reviews, providing constructive engineering feedback to uphold high-quality standards across the micro1 expert ecosystem.
- Champion a shared vision of quality assurance by writing meticulous technical analyses that clearly explain the root cause of application failures.

- UI Automation Design Patterns: Deep operational understanding of Page Object Models (POM), custom commands, and efficient DOM selector strategies across distinct browser engines.
- API Layer Verification: Total fluency in HTTP status validations, JSON schema matching, authentication handling, and automated contract testing.
- Asynchronous Execution Mechanics: Advanced mastery of wait conditions, implicit vs. explicit timeouts, and avoiding runtime flakiness inside single-page application environments.
- Root Cause Identification: The analytical focus to step through complex test logs, network traces, and stack errors to accurately isolate structural backend application bugs from test environment issues.
- Clear Technical Reporting: Strong technical writing habits, with the ability to convey abstract software quality indicators easily to both technical developers and non-technical stakeholders.
