Job Summary
The Mobile App Developer (AI Training Specialist) applies deep technical knowledge in iOS and Android ecosystems to evaluate and optimize AI models. Core responsibilities include writing clean code snippets, building baseline applications, reviewing AI-generated code for security flaws, creating multi-layered debugging challenges, and writing clear breakdowns of mobile development best practices for model training arrays.
Foundational Mobile Engineering Prerequisites
- Platform Expertise: Expert-level experience in both iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) development is strictly required.
- Proven Track Record: A strong portfolio of successfully shipped, functional mobile applications currently live on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Architecture & Integration: Deep proficiency integrating RESTful APIs, managing background tasks, configuring push notification systems, and embedding third-party SDKs.
- Design Philosophy: A thorough understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, design guidelines (Material Design and Apple Human Interface Guidelines), and responsive layout constraints across diverse device types.
- Distributed Workflow Mastery: Proven ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and deliver high-quality outputs efficiently within a remote, distributed team environment.
- Communication Articulation: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with a proven ability to break down complex, multi-layered technical concepts into simple, highly scannable documentation.
Preferred Technical Value Multipliers
- Multi-Platform Tooling: Hands-on experience with cross-platform frameworks such as Flutter or React Native.
- Delivery Frameworks: Strong background operating within Agile software development methodologies and managing codebases via Git workflows.
- Community Footprint: Active contributions to open-source mobile projects, developer technical communities, or technical engineering publications (e.g., StackOverflow, Medium, GitHub).
Key Responsibilities
1. High-Fidelity Technical Code Production (35%)
- Code Architecture Generation: Design, develop, and document clean, robust, and highly scalable mobile application modules across both iOS and Android platforms to serve as training models.
- Implement Best Practices: Write modular, secure, and well-commented code following modern industry paradigms (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture) to establish high-quality baseline datasets.
- Cross-Platform Integration: Build, test, and run edge-case integrations, checking platform updates and performance metrics to optimize code samples across devices.
2. AI Model Evaluation & Logic Auditing (35%)
- Audit AI Code Quality: Review and assess code blocks generated by advanced LLMs, catching subtle logic flaws, deprecated APIs, security vulnerabilities, or performance bottlenecks.
- Build Debugging Challenges: Construct complex mobile development problems and multi-step debugging scenarios to test and measure how effectively AI agents reason and fix errors.
- Refine Model Logic: Provide detailed, structured feedback loops and step-by-step corrections to help the model learn the best ways to solve difficult coding issues.
3. Technical Explanation & Documentation Crafting (20%)
- Draft Clear Documentation: Write clear, highly accurate breakdowns of mobile engineering problems, outlining why specific coding patterns fail and how optimal solutions work.
- Explain Nuanced Concepts: Translate complex device-level behaviors (such as memory management, threading, or background processing) into simple, structured technical explanations for non-technical teams.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Innovation (10%)
- Sync with Core Teams: Work closely with micro1 product managers, data scientists, and backend teams to continuous improve internal development standards and data gathering tools.
