Job Summary
The MEP Warehouse Supervisor manages material delivery notes, cyclical inventory audit sheets, technical material defect logs, safety incident reports, raw requisition requests, and SAP stock movement entries. Core duties include validating incoming specialized MEP assemblies; planning spatial rack layouts; leading small teams of riggers and forklift operators; and managing high-value inventory pools.
Key Roles & Operational Responsibilities
1. Technical Material Inflow & Quality Control
- Oversee the unloading, unboxing, and structural inspection of specialized Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) materials and heavy equipment.
- Enforce strict quality control standards, cross-checking physical arrivals against shipping manifests, purchase orders, and technical engineering blueprints.
- Identify, document, and quarantine damaged or non-compliant engineering assets immediately, initiating insurance and return procedures.
- Manage day-to-day work tasks for assigned warehouse staff, including material handlers, storekeepers, and machinery operators.
2. Spatial Optimization & Stock Management
- Design, implement, and maintain efficient warehouse floor plans and rack configurations to store incoming components securely.
- Coordinate cyclic and comprehensive inventory audits to maintain total transparency over active material stock levels.
- Author clear material requisitions, tracking minimum thresholds to ensure site installation teams never experience material shortages.
- Maintain clean work areas, enforcing strict workplace health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols for heavy material storage.
3. Systems Recording (SAP) & Internal Operations
- Log all material receipts, bin allocations, inter-site transfers, and stock withdrawals within the corporate SAP logistics environment.
- Work closely with project engineers and sub-contractors to pick, pack, and release technical materials on schedule.
- Maintain organized digital logs of equipment calibration, specialized component storage requirements, and high-value project materials.
Foundational Capabilities & Prerequisites
Required Technical Profile & Academic Track
- Formal Education: Completion of the 12th grade or a dedicated Technical-Professional Course focusing on Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or an engineering trade (preferred).
- Core Professional Competency: Solid, practical understanding of engineering stock management, large-scale construction warehouse safety codes, and heavy industrial rigging/material handling logistics.
- Software Tool Mastery: Practical proficiency using MS Office tools (specifically Excel data sheets) paired with hands-on experience navigating SAP inventory modules.
- Language Compulsion: Full professional fluency in verbal and written English is required.
