Mechanical Technician

Job Summary

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment across RSSB facilities to ensure their reliability, efficiency, and safety. Joining the Property Management and Performance team and reporting directly to the Lead Maintenance, the role focuses on supporting operational excellence through both preventive and corrective maintenance activities on systems such as HVAC, air conditioners, exhaust fans, ventilation systems, water heaters, heat pumps, and automated gates and doors.

Qualification

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Domestic Mechanics, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Between one (1) and five (5) years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, air conditioners, ventilation systems, exhaust fans, water heaters, heat pumps, and automated mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and maintain mechanical equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments safely.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Document maintenance activities and report issues to supervisors.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and organizational policies.
• Support operational teams as required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.
