Core responsibilities include writing business-value-focused copy, coordinating multi-channel campaign assets, assisting with webinars and social media promotions, tracking marketing funnel analytics, and working cross-functionally to streamline global GTM initiatives.

Foundational Knowledge & Capabilities
- Marketing Foundations: A clear, foundational grasp of core B2B marketing principles, funnel dynamics, or go-to-market execution plans (demonstrated through a university degree, corporate internships, or personal technical marketing projects).
- Analytical Problem-Solving: The ability to break down complex, ambiguous technical concepts and translate them into simple, actionable recommendations and structured content maps.
- Data-Informed Approach: A natural comfort with metrics, data-tracking, and rapid testing to determine what messaging or campaign framework performs best.

- B2B Tech Storytelling: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with a genuine love for drafting clear, compelling copy that highlights commercial and operational value.

Key Responsibilities
1. Content Engineering & B2B Storytelling (30%)
- Draft Marketing Materials: Write, edit, and polish high-impact copy—including blog posts, whitepapers, landing pages, and email sequences—that highlights the enterprise value of Ubuntu and Canonical’s software.
- Translate Technical Features: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to turn technical product features into clear customer benefits tailored for specific target personas.
- Maintain Brand Voice: Act as a brand steward, ensuring all outward-facing content is clear, purposeful, and aligned with Canonical's global messaging guidelines.
2. Campaign Coordination & Demand Generation Support (25%)
- Support GTM Execution: Assist product marketers and campaign managers with the rollout and execution of comprehensive Go-To-Market plans.
- Asset Mapping: Coordinate the collection and distribution of campaign assets, making sure marketing collateral reaches the right target segments across the buying cycle.
- Run Marketing Experiments: Help design and execute iterative, small-scale marketing experiments to optimize user acquisition and engagement channels.
3. Digital Funnel Optimization & Analytics (25%)
- Track Funnel Metrics: Partner with internal demand generation and digital teams to monitor marketing funnels, tracking key performance metrics across active campaigns.
- Synthesize Performance Data: Gather and compile campaign data, turning raw metrics into clear reports to help the team understand what content resonates best with developers and decision-makers.
- Audit Marketing Touchpoints: Regularly review active digital paths, subscription channels, and download pages to spot friction points and suggest optimizations.
4. Event Logistics & Social Media Promotion (20%)
- Coordinate Digital Events: Support the planning and execution of webinars, virtual panel discussions, and digital tech summits.
- Amplify Social Reach: Write promotional copy and coordinate social media schedules to boost engagement around corporate announcements, open-source events, and new feature rollouts.
- Participate in Global Sprints: Travel to and actively engage in Canonical’s in-person global sprints, contributing to team alignment workshops and strategic planning blocks.
