Job Summary
The Market Expansion Coordinator conducts field research for high-traffic site selection, manages setup budgets, and coordinates branch renovation contractors. This professional secures local municipal trading licenses and health permits, integrates new locations into the daily logistics delivery network, and collaborates with marketing teams to launch localized community outreach events.
Key Roles & Operational Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Branch Rollouts & Site Selection
- Conduct extensive field research across target Rwandan districts to identify high-potential, optimal retail spaces specifically suited for fresh fish distribution.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of new outlet launches, ensuring structural revamps, plumbing/utility installation, and corporate branding are completed on time.
- Supervise on-site vendors, independent construction contractors, and interior layout technicians to guarantee build quality matches company standards.
2. Regulatory Compliance & Local Permissions
- Interface directly with sector, district, and municipal authorities across Rwanda to secure necessary business operations paperwork.
- Obtain required trading licenses, local government approvals, and strict health sanitation permits for each newly established storefront prior to launch.
3. Cross-Functional Launch Coordination & Budgets
- Partner closely with the central aquaculture and logistics teams to integrate new branches into the cold-chain daily delivery schedule smoothly.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to engineer high-impact launch-day promotional events, market activations, and localized community outreach campaigns.
- Monitor, track, and report on setup expenses for every location via MS Excel, ensuring all real-world rollout costs strictly respect the allocated corporate budget.
Foundational Capabilities & Prerequisites
Required Technical Profile & Experience
- Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agribusiness, Project Management, Marketing, or a closely related commercial field.
- Experience Baseline: Minimum of two to four (2–4) years of progressive, hands-on experience in retail expansion, FMCG distribution networks, or field-facing project management within Rwanda.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of managing construction vendors, commercial landlords, and navigating regulatory processes with local government authorities.
- Software & Organization: Strong structural project management skills, with functional proficiency in MS Excel for budget monitoring and timeline tracking tools.
- Linguistic Capabilities: Native or full professional fluency in both Kinyarwanda and English is strictly mandatory.
- Mobility Profile: Absolute willingness and physical readiness to travel frequently to rural and urban districts across Rwanda.
