Job Summary
The Java Developer designs, implements, and evaluates highly scalable, efficient, and maintainable Java structures to train and evaluate AI coding systems. Core daily duties include auditing AI-generated source code, evaluating algorithmic time and space complexity, constructing rigorous code-review benchmarks, identifying subtle multi-threading and memory allocation bugs, and writing comprehensive technical breakdowns to train frontier LLMs in enterprise-grade software development.
Foundational Engineering & Technical Prerequisites
- Java Language Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in Java, supported by a strong portfolio of completed, production-grade projects.
- Computer Science Fundamentals: Solid experience with object-oriented design (OOD), advanced data structures, and complex algorithm optimization.
- Git & Version Control: Deep comfort utilizing modern version control systems, branching strategies, and repository management via Git.
- Communication Articulation: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a critical emphasis on explaining highly technical details, algorithmic trade-offs, and complex code errors clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Distributed Network Dynamics: Proven ability to work successfully and independently within a remote workspace while collaborating smoothly with a globally distributed team.
- Project Execution Matrix: Strong problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and familiarity with agile software development practices.

Key Responsibilities
1. High-Fidelity Code Evaluation & LLM Alignment
- Critically review, score, and optimize Java source code, automated scripts, and structural application designs generated by frontier AI models.
- Evaluate AI-generated code outputs for logic consistency, compile-readiness, security vulnerabilities, run-time efficiency, and adherence to modern Java coding conventions.
- Construct clear, step-by-step logic breakdowns and structural refactorings to show AI models how to resolve complex multi-threading failures, memory leaks, or unoptimized data structures.
- Build advanced, multi-tiered coding scenarios containing deliberately hidden algorithmic errors or architecture anti-patterns to stress-test the model’s automated debugging capabilities.
2. Scalable Application Design & Benchmarking
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, efficient, and maintainable baseline Java applications that serve as the definitive standard of excellence for model training pipelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with distributed team members, technical leads, and data scientists to define, design, and deliver clear code-evaluation rubrics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical runtime anomalies and syntax issues in a timely, methodical manner.
3. Architecture Documentation & Knowledge Engineering
- Document complex technical designs, database integrations, runtime processes, and workflows clearly and effectively.
- Stay updated with the latest Java developments, LTS version features, framework updates, and software engineering trends to bring fresh ideas to the data training lab.
- Participate actively in internal peer and code reviews, contributing detailed engineering insights to maintain high quality across the micro1 expert network.

- Object-Oriented Blueprinting: Deep operational understanding of polymorphism, inheritance, encapsulation, abstraction, and foundational SOLID design principles.
- Algorithmic Optimization: Total fluency in calculating and reducing Big O time and space complexity, ensuring efficient execution across complex loops and collections data.
- Concurrent Programming Logic: Practical capacity to analyze multi-threaded processes, identify race conditions, prevent deadlocks, and optimize thread pooling within the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
- Structural Defect Diagnostics: The analytical focus to read raw stack traces, step through nested methods, and isolate memory leak pathways or logical edge-case failures.
- Code-to-Text Translatability: Strong technical writing habits, with the unique ability to convey abstract programmatic behavior and structural syntax choices into text instructions that an AI can parse.
