Job Summary
The Guest Service Expert is responsible for executing day-to-day front-of-house service operations within the hotel's food and beverage outlets. The role involves table setup, order delivery, kitchen communication management, table clearing, work area sanitation, and active menu guidance. The position requires a hands-on physical presence and strict adherence to brand quality and appearance guidelines.
Qualification
Candidates should meet the following baseline educational standards:
- Preferred Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- License or Certification: None required.
Experience
- Related Work Experience: Less than one (1) year of related work experience. This makes the position an excellent entry point for enthusiastic individuals new to the hospitality industry.
- Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Relations & Dining Experience Optimization
- Take the initiative to deliver a wide range of guest services, making everyday dining transactions feel like a unique and memorable part of the hotel experience.
- Interact directly with guests in a warm, welcoming, and professional manner, addressing their dining needs and ensuring satisfaction throughout their meal.
- Manage and master the menu by reading, interpreting, and visually verifying culinary information to answer guest questions accurately.
Food & Beverage Service Operations
- Set dining tables systematically according to established brand standards and fine-dining etiquette.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure dietary requirements, special preferences, and order timings are seamlessly synchronized.
- Serve food and drinks to tables efficiently while monitoring the dining floor pace.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, service stations, dining tables, and service supplies continuously throughout the shift.
Compliance, Safety & Professionalism
- Create and maintain a safe workplace by strictly following company safety policies, emergency procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Uphold premium quality standards in all aspects of service delivery, workspace cleanliness, and guest engagement.
- Ensure personal appearance is immaculate, maintaining a professional communication style and wearing the assigned company uniform correctly at all times.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors to support the business and team success.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This role is physically active and requires a hands-on approach to daily tasks. Eligible candidates must be comfortable meeting the following physical parameters:
- Mobility: Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time during the shift.
- Agility: Capability to move safely over sloping, uneven, or slippery floor surfaces.
- Strength: Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25 pounds or less without assistance, and up to 50 pounds with team assistance.
- Flexibility: Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including frequent bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
