Electrician

Job Summary

The Electrician is responsible for providing timely inspections, maintenance, repairs, and installations of electrical systems and equipment across RSSB properties. Joining the Property Management and Performance team and reporting directly to the Lead Maintenance, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all electrical installations are safe, functional, and compliant with applicable standards and regulations. This role supports the efficient operation of RSSB facilities through both preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

Qualification

• Diploma (A1) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• OR A2 qualification supplemented by five (5) years of relevant experience
• Skills in plumbing or carpentry will be an added advantage
• Professional certifications will be an added advantage

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience, including at least two (2) years in electrical installation, operation, or maintenance.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience (specifically required if qualifying via the A2 qualification track).
• Proven experience in routine and preventive maintenance workflows.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Install, maintain, and repair wiring, control systems, and lighting systems.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical equipment including transformers, generators, and circuit breakers.
• Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults using testing devices.
• Repair or replace electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with national and local electrical regulations and standards.
• Support and guide maintenance workers on electrical installations and repairs.
• Collaborate with caretakers to identify and resolve electrical issues.
• Advise management on electrical installation standards and equipment requirements.
• Report incidents and maintenance concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.
