Job Summary
The Draftsman analyzes execution projects, calculates material volumes, and prepares 2D and 3D technical drawings (including reinforcement rebar schedules) using AutoCAD and Revit. This specialist detects cross-discipline design conflicts, supports site implementation to verify drawing compliance, and collaborates with Measuring and Planning teams on error/omission audits.
Key Roles & Operational Responsibilities
1. Project Analysis & Technical Drawing Preparation
- Execution Study Analysis: Review execution plans, study preparation documents, and structural designs to determine required material volumes and scope of work under senior guidelines.
- Reinforcement & Rebar Detailing: Draft detailed structural reinforcement plans, rebar schedules, and assembly drawings based on structural calculations.
- Detailed Execution Drafting: Produce comprehensive 2D and 3D technical drawings in AutoCAD and Revit adhering to project specifications and standards.
2. Specialty Integration & Error Resolution
- Cross-Discipline Conflict Detection: Analyze interconnections between various technical specialties (e.g., structural, architectural, MEP) to identify clashes, design anomalies, or incompatibilities early.
- Alternative Solution Development: Research and propose viable technical alternatives to resolve detected design errors and spatial conflicts.
- Errors & Omissions Collaboration: Partner with the Measuring and Planning department to verify ongoing project quantities, process error/omission claims, and audit work progress.
3. On-Site Technical Support
- Site Compliance Verification: Support site management and construction teams during execution, conducting physical site checks to ensure construction strictly matches approved preparation drawings.
