Technical Workflow Architecture
As a Distribution Corporate Account Manager, your ongoing routine links macroeconomic strategy with local execution:
- Playbook Synthesis & KPI Tracking: Creating and tuning distribution playbooks that declare specific revenue expectations, inventory buffers, and target growth tracks while checking point-of-sale (POS) data to verify real-time performance.
- Multi-Tiered Communication Alignment: Translating corporate sales directives into clear playbooks for RDSMs and SDAMs, establishing clear lines of responsibility, and eliminating territory overlap issues.
- Channel Health & Mind Share Optimization: Monitoring inventory turns, assessing margin health, and reviewing stock health parameters to maximize distributor financial commitments to the Molex catalog.
- Remediation & Technical Enablement: Analyzing performance lags at local distributor branches, engineering corrective actions alongside regional sales leads, and deploying product training programs to help channel engineers close deals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Distribution Architecture & Demand Creation
- Develop, formalize, and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for assigned global distributor accounts, embedding these frameworks within the master corporate playbook.
- Formulate concrete, measurable target metrics and establish continuous data tracking systems to monitor distribution performance against plan.
- Architect and lead joint demand-creation programs, ensuring a unified, aggressive pipeline generation methodology alongside distributor field application engineers (FAEs).
- Collaborate directly with the Molex Distribution Marketing team to coordinate, deploy, and monitor technical digital expertise and e-commerce growth strategies across partner platforms.
2. Cross-Functional Corporate Alignment & Field Deployment
- Communicate high-level corporate strategies and product promotion initiatives clearly to Regional Distribution Sales Managers (RDSMs) and Strategic Distribution Account Managers (SDAMs) to drive effective branch-level execution.
- Conduct structured, data-driven Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to analyze market-share capture, clear supply chain roadblocks, and map future pipeline parameters.
- Work closely with internal SDAM networks to preserve unified regional targets, prevent territory canalization, and lock down account alignment.
- Establish and lead executive-level summits and governance meetings between Molex corporate leadership and distributor top management to secure long-term strategic alignment.
3. Inventory Governance & Local Remediation
- Audit distributor inventory pipelines, stock profiles, and margin realizations systematically to maximize Molex mind share and ensure healthy product availability.
- Design, build, and deploy target-oriented technical training tracks to enable distributor sales teams to pitch, position, and specify Molex solutions confidently.
- Identify low-performing distributor branches or territories, build targeted short-term stabilization plans, and co-develop binding corrective steps with assigned regional managers.
- Author and submit precise verbal and written progress analyses to Molex global sales management regarding revenue metrics, market risks, and expanding channel opportunities.
