Qualification
- Academic Foundation: Bachelor's degree in a technical or financial discipline; an MBA or advanced quantitative degree in Finance or Economics is highly preferred.
- Domain Expertise: Deep, operational knowledge of private markets, private equity mechanics, fund accounting workflows, asset management, and investor reporting cycles.
- Financial Metrics Proficiency: Complete comfort with complex private market performance measurements, including Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Total Value to Paid-In (TVPI), Distributed to Paid-In (DPI), and cash flow management models.
- Technical Software Stack: Mastery of modern product management, roadmapping, and agile coordination suites (such as Jira, Confluence, and Productboard).
- Linguistic Skills: Professional fluency in English is strictly required; proficiency in German or alternative European languages is considered a significant asset.
Experience
Candidates must bring an extensive track record of enterprise software execution and professional financial credibility:
B2B FinTech Product Leadership
- Professional Longevity: A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in software product management, with at least five (5) years dedicated to customer-facing enterprise B2B roles.
- Alternative Assets Track Record: Direct history designing, launching, or scaling platforms within a private market software vendor, financial data provider, or quantitative risk management environment.
- Scalable Customization Architecture: Documented success transforming highly specific, "white-glove" institutional user customization requests into repeatable, scalable core product capabilities without bloating software codebases.
- Advanced Analytics Exposure: Desirable exposure to guiding products that incorporate artificial intelligence, machine learning data extraction, or advanced quantitative modeling techniques.
Commercial Strategy & Team Mentorship
- Commercial Environment Navigation: Proven experience operating alongside enterprise sales units, leading complex Request for Proposal (RFP) technical responses, driving product discovery workshops, and steering solution-scoping negotiations.
- Agile Grid Management: Extensive experience overseeing multiple parallel agile squads, balancing feature backlogs, and continuously refining product delivery cycles.
- Executive Presence: Exceptional communication capacity, with an established ability to engage credibly with C-level institutional executives, sophisticated portfolio managers, and private market operations teams.
- Talent Development: Proven success managing, mentoring, and upskilling product management professionals while instilling a culture of analytical rigor and user empathy.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Roadmap & Competitive Intelligence
- Formulate Product Vision: Structure, champion, and execute the 12-month product vision and strategic roadmap for the Portfolio Monitoring business unit, ensuring complete alignment with CEPRES' corporate revenue objectives.
- Drive Annual Planning: Partner with business unit executives during global annual planning sessions, contributing competitive intelligence, technology feasibility inputs, and accurate market trend assessments.
- Systematize Market Intelligence: Establish a structured, continuous market intelligence pipeline to track competitor features and shifting industry regulations, minimizing reliance on anecdotal field feedback.
- Track Adoption Metrics: Define, monitor, and report on core product performance metrics, user adoption patterns, and client satisfaction levels to drive iterative design choices.
Enterprise Client Scoping & Go-To-Market Execution
- Lead Technical Discovery: Serve as the primary technical voice during enterprise sales engagements, driving system demonstrations, discovering edge-case requirements, and outlining integration maps.
- Engine Scalable Capabilities: Deconstruct complex, account-specific customization demands into clean, modular features that enrich the broader platform ecosystem.
- Strengthen Partner Ecosystems: Cultivate and expand technical relationships with third-party data providers, software vendors, and strategic platform integrations.
- Orchestrate GTM Strategy: Collaborate with corporate Marketing squads to construct pricing models, value positioning, and go-to-market messaging that clearly separates CEPRES from alternative platforms.
