Job Summary
The Director of Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing all in-country operations, ensuring operational excellence, commercial sustainability, and long-term organizational growth. The role focuses on executing strategic priorities, improving business performance, optimizing operational efficiency, and developing high-performing teams while maintaining strong governance and compliance standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, or related fields
- Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related fields is advantageous
Experience
- 10โ15+ years of professional experience
- Minimum 5 years in a senior operations, general management, or country leadership role
- Proven experience managing multi-functional operations and large teams
- Demonstrated track record of improving operational performance and driving business growth
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, food production, supply chain, or related industries is preferred
- Experience in scaling operations, business transformation, or high-growth environments is advantageous
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of country strategy and operational priorities
- Translate strategic objectives into measurable action plans, KPIs, and performance targets
- Ensure alignment and coordination across operational functions
- Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
- Oversee country-level operational and financial performance
- Drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and cost optimization initiatives
- Strengthen budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial management processes
- Ensure effective cash flow management and business sustainability
- Oversee production, distribution, logistics, and quality management activities
- Improve productivity, operational efficiency, and waste reduction initiatives
- Ensure compliance with operational, safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Lead and develop multi-functional leadership teams
- Establish performance management systems and succession planning initiatives
- Coach, mentor, and support managers to achieve organizational objectives
- Strengthen operational systems, standard operating procedures, and internal controls
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Support the development of scalable and sustainable operational processes
- Ensure organizational compliance and audit readiness
