The Data Partnerships Lead establishes the commercial framework, outbound playbook, and target pipelines for enterprise data acquisition campaigns. Core duties include sourcing high-value data providers, negotiating custom multi-year B2B licensing agreements, navigating complex data security and intellectual property evaluations with enterprise C-suites, hiring and mentoring a distributed team of Data Partnerships Managers, and collaborating with internal Product, Engineering, and Legal divisions to optimize partner onboarding workflows.
Foundational Leadership & Commercial Prerequisites
- Team-Building Tenure: Proven, successful record of leadership within Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, or Enterprise Sales functions inside high-growth corporate environments.
- Program Prototyping: A verified history of designing, testing, and scaling repeatable commercial acquisition programs or enterprise outbound sales engines completely from scratch.
- Executive Presence: Outstanding personal authority and communication styling, with an established capacity to build immediate, trusted advisory alliances with founders, C-suite executives, institutional operators, and senior business leaders.
- Negotiation Mastery: Exceptional commercial judgment, structural pricing insight, and contract negotiation skills built to handle complex enterprise sales cycles.
- Methodology Command: Deep understanding of modern consultative sales frameworks (e.g., Challenger, SPIN, Command of the Sale) paired with the ability to manage long, multi-layered partnership closure pathways.
- Technical Context Literacy: Complete comfort engaging with enterprise technology stakeholders on nuanced topics including generative AI infrastructure, data privacy architectures, data security frameworks, and intellectual property ownership models.
- Execution Bias: An entrepreneurial, self-directed operational habit that thrives when translating ambiguous marketplace signals into structured, functional execution playbooks.

- Sector Specificity: Previous experience leading Strategic Partnerships or Enterprise Sales within elite AI infrastructure providers, SaaS organizations, massive digital marketplaces, or major data analytics corporations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Macro Strategy Architecture & Pipeline Scaling (35%)
- Define the Commercial Roadmap: Design, iterate, and execute the global corporate strategy for acquiring, onboarding, and scaling high-value B2B Data Partnerships across key verticals.
- Engineer Scalable Outbound Playbooks: Establish robust pipeline generation frameworks, automated outbound sequences, and value-proposition playbooks capable of scaling across diverse target industries.
- Optimize Target Frameworks: Develop data-driven, repeatable valuation structures to score incoming partnership opportunities, ensuring team energy is tightly focused on the highest-impact companies.
- Monitor Data Metrics: Build out clear reporting systems, performance tracking dashboards, and accurate forecasting tools to continuously refine outbound conversion metrics.
2. Strategic Account Capture & C-Suite Negotiation (35%)
- Own Sovereign Alliances: Personally architect, guide, and close high-value data partnerships with tier-one partner firms, legacy institutions, and primary enterprise data owners.
- Navigate IP & Security Gates: Lead technical discussions with partner Legal and Security councils, successfully answering complex objections regarding data anonymity, confidentiality, and intellectual property protection.
- Shape Pricing Mechanics: Collaborate directly with executive leadership to evaluate market values, craft modern subscription or volume-based pricing models, and refine overall market positioning.
3. High-Performance Team Leadership & Mentorship (20%)
- Hire Top Talent: Lead the talent sourcing, screening, and hiring initiatives to construct a premier international team of Data Partnerships Managers.
- Coach Consultative Skills: Mentor, train, and structurally upskill customer-facing team members on advanced discovery techniques, complex contract structures, and consultative closing mechanics.
