Job Summary
The Cybersecurity Analyst designs advanced threat scenarios, evaluates model responses for safety risks, and monitors security frameworks to train frontier AI systems. Core daily responsibilities include crafting detailed security prompts to explore model boundaries; executing penetration and social engineering test beds; reviewing AI-generated code for hidden vulnerabilities; conducting infrastructure risk assessments; and writing clear documentation to improve the reasoning capabilities of automated security agents.
Foundational Capabilities & Prerequisites
- Threat Identification: Highly proficient in modern threat detection methodologies, indicating deep familiarity with Indicators of Compromise (IoCs), lateral movement patterns, and advanced persistent threats (APTs).
- Offensive Defense: Verifiable professional experience in cybersecurity and hands-on penetration testing, including the execution and evaluation of social engineering assessments.
- Infrastructure Security: Strong background in network security engineering, firewall configuration architectures, cryptographic protocols, and secure network zoning.
- Communication Clarity: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to break down complex exploit strings or risk matrices into clear, structured explanations.
- Analytical Mastery: Strong problem-solving skills with a meticulous, detail-oriented approach focused on continuous workflow improvement.
- Workspace Independence: Proven ability to self-govern, manage personal development tempos, and deliver high-quality outputs within an asynchronous remote team structure.
Preferred Qualifications & Technical Multipliers
- AI Familiarity: Foundational knowledge of generative AI behaviors, prompt construction techniques, or large language model (LLM) vulnerability profiles (such as prompt injection vectors) is a significant advantage.
- Professional Certifications: Active industry-recognized credentials, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
- Tech Footprint: Prior experience working within a fast-paced software engineering environment, tech startup, or enterprise SaaS data facility.
Technical Workflow Architecture
In this role, your daily technical workflow focuses directly on low-level knowledge engineering and data precision:
- Adversarial Prompt Crafting: Writing complex, multi-turn prompt structures to test whether an AI agent can be tricked into generating malicious payloads or bypassing standard security rails.
- Output Analysis & Exploit Auditing: Reviewing AI-generated network scripts or software patches to catch hidden vulnerabilities, backdoors, or inefficient configurations.
- Simulated Breach Construction: Designing rich text-based simulation environments representing enterprise network architectures, challenging AI models to successfully locate and patch weak entry points.
- Security Telemetry Logging: Compiling highly structured evaluation data that maps exactly how an AI system handles ambiguous social engineering hooks or complex cryptographic requests.
Key Responsibilities
1. Adversarial Probing & Prompt Engineering
- Craft, execute, and refine advanced technical prompts designed to explore the structural and ethical boundaries of frontier AI models.
- Simulate diverse real-world cyberattack methods, including sophisticated social engineering tactics, phishing variations, and credential harvesting vectors, to evaluate model resistance.
- Conduct targeted tests on AI outputs to accurately identify expected safe behavior versus anomalous, risky, or insecure code generation.
2. Threat Analysis & Vulnerability Mapping
- Analyze complex security events, malicious code variants, and structural software vulnerabilities to build comprehensive training profiles for model alignment.
- Evaluate the technical accuracy, execution clarity, and runtime safety of automated security scripts generated by AI systems.
- Work collaboratively with distributed IT pods to design mock network environments, enhancing the defensive and patching capabilities of automated security models.
3. Policy Formulation & Security Auditing
- Build and communicate highly detailed mock security policies, operational procedures, and formal incident response workflows to expand the model's institutional knowledge base.
- Design regular text-based security audits and infrastructure risk assessments to evaluate how effectively AI agents navigate regulatory compliance parameters.
- Provide clear, analytical feedback loops and step-by-step remediation logs to help AI models recognize and respond to systemic data breaches.
