The Creative Ad Strategist designs, writes, edits, and launches high-converting paid growth assets across paid social networks. Core daily responsibilities include analyzing Meta Ads Manager performance metrics; drafting direct-response scripts and hooks; using generative AI tools to build scalable production workflows; editing high-throughput video and static ads; and coordinating with specialized content creators to expand the brand's subscriber base.

Foundational Capabilities & Prerequisites

• Copywriting Excellence: Proven history of direct-response copywriting and scriptwriting, backed by an active portfolio of scripts, landing page content, or paid hooks illustrating structured consumer psychology.
• Analytical Data Fluency: Strong comfort interpreting performance telemetry inside ad interfaces, translating click-through rates (CTR), hook rates, and cost-per-acquisition (CPA) targets into creative adjustments.
• Production Execution: Hands-on video and image production skills, with the technical ability to self-edit light assets (cropping video, adding dynamic captions, syncing audio tracks) without requiring agency handoffs.
• AI-Native Instincts: Advanced, daily utilization of generative AI tools across the operational stack—leveraging models for rapid brainstorming, copy generation, synthetic voiceovers, and asset automation.
• Market Obsession: Distinct creative taste with an obsessive habit of studying modern ad strategies, deconstructing visual formats, and tracking competitive direct-response trends.
• Remote Efficiency: Absolute autonomy, capable of operating at a high execution pace inside a remote, distributed startup structure without constant management direction.

Technical Workflow Architecture

In this growth laboratory, your daily technical routine bypasses traditional creative blockers to maintain an active testing cycle:

• Telemetry Excavation: Digging into Meta Ads Manager daily to cross-reference hook retention graphs, isolating the exact second users drop off to re-cut and save valuable ad spend.
• AI Workflows & Output Automation: Building multi-stage generative pipelines using AI text, audio, and visual engines to produce 10 variations of a single concept in minutes.
• Full-Stack Campaign Deployment: Writing a script, cutting raw UGC or B-roll footage, building structural ad variants, and uploading them straight to active test ad sets without waiting on external validation.
• Asset Lifespan Management: Tracking creative fatigue across diverse channels (Google Demand Gen, X, and newsletters) to systematically swap out slowing assets before efficiency numbers slip.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis & Creative Auditing

• Mine historical performance metrics, analyze real-time Meta Ads Manager results, and evaluate competitor ad archives to map high-converting trends, winning angles, and market hooks.
• Build and maintain a regular reporting structure focused on tracking creative performance, identifying asset fatigue, and outlining data-driven tests for upcoming weekly design sprints.

2. High-Conversion Ideation & Scripting

• Generate a high volume of conversion-focused ad angles, hook variations, and comprehensive scripts (including talking-head videos, text-over-video layouts, and static images) matched to our ideal customer profile (ICP).
• Author detailed, clear production briefs for external content creators, specialized camera teams, and senior motion editors when complex asset scaling is necessary.

3. Full-Stack End-to-End Production

• Edit and deploy agile ad creatives independently by handling raw asset clipping, adding captions, balancing background music, and launching campaigns directly.
• Ensure all output formats match the distinct, authoritative, and clean brand voice established across The Rundown’s media portfolio.

4. Constructing AI-Powered Content Pipelines

• Design, test, and implement repeatable AI-driven workflows across the creative development stack to scale script creation, asset iteration, and visual asset engineering.
• Stay on the absolute frontier of emerging generative AI software, testing new tool variations to boost asset production throughput while keeping quality standards high.

5. Multi-Channel Campaign Optimization

• Maintain a primary, relentless focus on optimizing Meta (Facebook and Instagram) performance pipelines.
• Provide secondary creative management across secondary distribution hubs, including Google (YouTube and Search engines), X (Twitter), and dedicated newsletter ad networks as performance goals shift.
