Key Responsibilities
1. Content Strategy Architecture & Narrative Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive B2B content marketing strategy that aligns closely with our core business goals, search engine targets, and brand voice guidelines.
- Create authoritative, engaging long-form and short-form written copy—including detailed case studies, technical white papers, executive blog posts, product briefs, and high-impact social media assets.
- Translate highly complex open-source infrastructure concepts, product updates, and software engineering announcements into clear value propositions for non-technical enterprise buyers and tech leads alike.
2. End-to-End Editorial Calendar Governance
- Manage Canonical's comprehensive global content calendar from start to finish, ensuring content is efficiently produced with minimum friction and complete process clarity.
- Maintain strict quality control, editorial tone, and messaging consistency across every digital publication channel and corporate asset we release.
- Write detailed creative briefs, set realistic review milestones, and clear production bottlenecks to keep a steady volume of high-quality content moving through the pipeline.
3. Engine Optimization (SEO/GEO) & Web Partnership
- Partner closely with our internal web engineering, design, and SEO teams to optimize copy layouts for maximum discovery across both traditional search engines and emerging generative AI tools.
- Run semantic content tests, build targeted keyword lists, and rewrite digital landing pages to continuously improve search engine positioning, answer engine snippets, and AI response visibility.
- Update and refresh older technical documentation and landing page layouts to maintain their educational accuracy and search visibility.
4. Cross-Functional Alignment & Performance Analysis
- Monitor, measure, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the entire content program, using marketing analytics tools to spot clear improvement opportunities.
- Align messaging tracks across different marketing channels to support integrated corporate campaigns, working in tight sync with Product Management, Alliances, and Sales divisions.

- Process Engineering: Treating content generation as a structured, repeatable pipeline that can be tracked, measured, and continuously improved.
- Direct Editorial Candor: Giving and receiving clear, objective feedback on written work to ensure every sentence serves a definitive purpose.
