Job Summary
The Insurance Sales Representative plays a vital role in executing day-to-day operations and sales functions within the commercial B2C division. Reporting to the Sales Operations Lead, the representative acts as the direct point of contact for prospective and existing retail clients. The primary objective of this role is to manage end-to-end customer interactions, identify unique risk protection needs, present tailored coverage portfolios, and convert inbound/outbound inquiries into active policies. This position balances proactive high-volume call management with strict administrative record-keeping to hit defined sales milestones while upholding excellent customer satisfaction.
Qualification
- Required: Secondary school diploma, professional certificate, or university degree in Commercial Operations, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to deliver complex product terms clearly.
- Fluency in professional languages utilized within the local market operations.
Experience
- Required: Proven professional experience working in a dedicated Sales, Telemarketing, or Customer Relations role.
- Preferred: Prior sales or operational experience specifically within the insurance brokerage or financial services sector.
- Demonstrated experience working within fast-paced, target-driven retail environments.
- Experience managing client databases, digital call sheets, or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tracking systems.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Advisory & Sales Execution:
- Provide professional, clear, and comprehensive advice regarding WiASSUR’s portfolio of insurance products in response to inbound retail customer inquiries.
- Perform detailed customer needs-assessments by asking targeted questions and analyzing individual risk exposures to recommend exact coverage solutions.
- Structure and deliver persuasive product presentations that highlight policy features, coverage scopes, exclusions, and financial premiums to incentivize conversion.
- Drive team-wide sales performance by hitting monthly, quarterly, and annual business development benchmarks.
Contact Center & Operations Management:
- Execute high-efficiency inbound and outbound call protocols, ensuring every client interaction is handled with professional courtesy and speed.
- Resolve direct client questions regarding policy underwriting guidelines, billing structures, premium rates, and preliminary claims procedures.
- Participate in routine company-sponsored training, regulatory update modules, and skill-building workshops to maintain a sharp understanding of changing insurance laws.
Administrative Support & Case Tracking:
- Maintain flawless, up-to-date digital records of all client interactions, call histories, and prospective lead feedback.
- Coordinate accurate policy modifications, mid-term adjustments, and profile updates within the corporate database.
- Ensure all sales data capture and administrative underwriting files adhere strictly to internal compliance policies and local data protection regulations.
Skills & Competencies
Technical:
- Strong foundational knowledge of standard consumer insurance lines (e.g., auto, home, health, life) and applicable local market regulations is highly advantageous.
- High administrative precision, data-entry accuracy, and file organization skills.
- Proficiency using modern telecommunications software, digital call management tools, and retail CRM software.
