Job Summary
The Cluster IT Manager will administer daily IT and telecom workflows across two resort properties, monitor enterprise network security, and maintain comprehensive hardware/software inventories. Key responsibilities include governing user access protocols, auditing PCI-DSS and GDPR data frameworks, executing scheduled backup/disaster recovery sequences, managing local IT operational budgets, training internal staff, and implementing corporate software rollouts mandated by the Global IT Office.
Qualification
- Educational Profile: Degree, Diploma, or Accredited professional certification in Information Technology or an equivalent digital infrastructure discipline.
- Core Certifications (Preferred): Active validation or equivalent practical competency in one or more industry benchmarks, such as MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), or CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional).
- Linguistic Skillset: Complete fluency in English (both verbal and written), with the ability to translate complex technical jargon into structured, scannable summaries for non-technical executives.
- Professional Attributes: Advanced problem-resolution abilities, strong time management, independent task prioritization, and excellent internal/external customer service skills.
Experience
Candidates must demonstrate a technical history within distributed corporate networks, preferably inside the luxury service sector:
IT Team Leadership & Infrastructure Engineering
- Professional Longevity: A minimum of 3 years of verified experience operating directly in an IT leadership, systems administration, or technical engineering management role.
- Network & Systems Architecture: Deep practical knowledge of enterprise network design, including virtual machine management (VMWare), complex wireless infrastructure deployment, VLANing, and interactive television systems (IPTV).
- Operating System Mastery: Comprehensive, detailed knowledge of corporate operating systems, including all current versions of Windows Server and desktop OS environments.
- Enterprise Patch Management: Direct operational experience managing system vulnerabilities and security definitions through SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) or equivalent centralized patch management software.
- Telecommunications Operations: Hands-on management of complex telecommunications setups, including Voice over IP (VoIP), digital PABX channels, voicemail matrices, and high-end video conferencing tools.
Hospitality Core Systems & Compliance (Preferred)
- Hospitality Tech Fluency: Strong operational experience with specialized property platforms, specifically Opera PMS (Property Management System) and Micros POS (Point of Sale) environments.
- Integrated Property Applications: Familiarity with background hotel ecosystems, including Call Accounting tools, Sales & Catering software, Audio/Visual (AV) system integrations, and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
- Data Security & Privacy Compliance: Direct experience enforcing and monitoring strict data compliance standards, specifically PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
- Procurement & Budgeting: Experience collaborating with corporate purchasing managers to vet software vendors, analyze multi-quote packages, run cost-benefit analyses, and align acquisitions with operational and capital expenditure (Capex) limits.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Property Infrastructure Management & System Optimization
- Maintain Platform Functionality: Oversee and optimize the dual-property technological infrastructure, ensuring core applications, cloud systems, and local servers remain functional 24/7.
- Monitor Network Operations: Establish continuous surveillance of local area networks (LAN) and property wide internet bandwidth pipelines, immediately addressing degradation or outages.
- Govern Backup & Disaster Recovery: Execute and test scheduled, multi-tier data backups and automated recovery scripts to eliminate data loss risks across both entities.
- Manage Enterprise Access Control: Validate, audit, and log all user access creation, modification, and removal requests, ensuring strict security compliance and minimizing internal system vulnerabilities.
Compliance, Project Delivery, & Financial Governance
- Enforce PCI & GDPR Standards: Implement tight security protocols across all credit card processing touchpoints and guest registration databases to maintain continuous data compliance.
- Direct Tech Procurement: Conduct rigorous cost-benefit analyses on all IT capital requests, working alongside the Purchasing Manager to gather competitive vendor quotes in line with brand rules.
- Execute Global IT Rollouts: Partner closely with the corporate Global IT Office to manage, track, and deploy international software updates and brand-wide infrastructure specifications on schedule.
- Lead Local Tech Audits: Schedule regular internal IT security, fire, and safety audits, producing actionable, time-bound remediation plans following any identified system gaps.
Team Leadership, Support, & Communication
- Train and Coach Local Talent: Direct the properties' IT technical support teams, assigning clear performance KPIs, running performance appraisals, and driving technical skills development.
- Provide Elite Technical Support: Act as the primary, high-tier technical escalation contact for high-stakes system queries coming from luxury guests, property owners, and the Executive Committee.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional Communications: Maintain structured lines of communication regarding network upgrades, scheduled maintenance windows, and system modifications across all internal departments and corporate stakeholders.
