Job Summary
The Webinar & Learning Events Consultant serves as the master technical producer and logistics lead for the 11-part BRACE global webinar series spanning 2026–2030. Core operational tasks include setting up virtual platform architectures and corporate branding, managing pre-event technical briefings and rehearsals with global speakers, supervising live Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI) streams across multiple languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Khmer), driving AI-powered real-time transcription, and managing complete post-production editing, subtitle mapping, and transcript publishing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Platform Architecture, Infrastructure Setup & Branding (20%)
- Manage Virtual Platforms: Set up, configure, and operate professional webinar platform infrastructures (SCA currently operates on Microsoft Teams, but equivalent, robust platforms can be proposed).
- Optimize Low-Bandwidth Delivery: Optimize platform connection parameters to ensure reliable, stutter-free video and audio delivery for participants calling in from developing regions with low internet speeds.
- Apply Corporate Branding: Integrate official BRACE, GCF, GPE, and Save the Children logos, background graphics, lower-thirds, and color palettes across the digital interface.
2. Live Technical Production & Broadcast Execution (20%)
- Direct Live Run-of-Show: Develop and direct the live technical timeline, managing scene switches, screen-sharing cues, spotlighted videos, and Q&A panel pop-ups.
- Manage Live Audio and Video: Act as the lead technical switcher during the live broadcast, preventing feed drops, clearing audio feedback loops, and ensuring smooth media playback.
- Deploy Tech Support Hubs: Establish a dedicated, fast-acting live technical help desk to assist international participants facing login or language channel connection errors.
3. Multilingual Interpretation & Accessibility Governance (20%)
- Coordinate RSI Streams: Source, contract, and manage human Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI) channels, matching live spoken audio into French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, and Khmer.
- Integrate Sign Language Assets: Coordinate and deploy real-time International Sign (or localized national sign language) interpretation feeds into the layout upon participant request.
- Govern Language Quality Assurance: Implement strict quality-assurance reviews for live translation feeds, ensuring complex environmental and educational terminologies are accurately translated.
4. Advanced AI Sourcing & Real-Time Captioning (15%)
- Deploy AI Productivity Tools: Leverage modern AI-enabled tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot or equivalent platforms) to accelerate real-time closed captioning, multi-language translation, and analytical insights.
- Supervise Automated Workflows: Provide strict human oversight over AI transcription processes, correcting automated errors instantly to preserve context and accuracy.
- Deliver Live Captions: Ensure that live, highly accurate English closed captioning streams run perfectly across every single live session without latency delays.
5. Speaker Management & Content Preparation (15%)
- Lead Technical Rehearsals: Conduct pre-event technical briefings and rehearsals with international guest speakers, testing microphone quality, lighting, framing, and slide-sharing capabilities.
- Support Asset Layouts: Collect, review, and apply light formatting adjustments to presentation slide decks, checking that font choices, image resolutions, and ratios match branding rules.
- Draft Backup Protocols: Prepare off-line backup scripts, slide printouts, and alternative connection lines for speakers dialing in from unstable infrastructure areas.
6. Post-Production Editing & Archival Delivery (10%)
- Edit Master Recordings: Cut and polish master video files, balancing audio tracks and inserting professional title screens, sponsor cards, and lower-third graphics.
- Generate Subtitles and Transcripts: Produce highly accurate, multi-language subtitle files (.SRT format) and comprehensive text transcripts for institutional databases.
- Publish Learning Packages: Package post-event assets into accessible, lightweight digital bundles optimized for easy distribution across international education networks.
Core Competencies & Skills
- Virtual Production Expertise: Expert-level mastery of advanced business webinar software, video routing tools, and live stream switching desks.
- Accessibility Specialization: A deep professional dedication to accessibility design, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards within digital environments.
- Strategic Collaboration: Highly developed cross-cultural communication and relationship management capabilities, comfortable interacting with high-level government representatives and global field workers.
- Vendor & Contract Governance: Strong project management and contract oversight capabilities, ensuring sub-contracted language interpreters and captioners deliver perfectly to deadline.
- Algorithmic Adaptability: A tech-forward perspective that continuously integrates modern AI productivity enhancements while maintaining human-in-the-loop quality controls.
Expected Outputs & Deliverables
- 11 flawlessly executed, fully accessible global learning webinars spanning the 2026–2030 project timeline.
- Comprehensive technical run-of-show sheets, speaker briefing playbooks, and platform setup templates.
- High-definition master video files featuring embedded multi-language subtitles and verified, clean audio tracks.
- Multi-language written transcripts and analytical engagement reports delivered within agreed post-event windows.
