Audio Annotation Specialist

Job Summary

The Audio Annotation Specialist listens to multi-turn voice assistant audio recordings, segments acoustic boundaries, and labels user intent, assistant responses, and contextual follow-ups. Working remotely on a flexible 1–3 month schedule, this specialist ensures audio dataset accuracy to help train conversational AI models.

Key Roles & Operational Responsibilities

1. Acoustic & Conversational Segmentation

• Audio Parsing: Carefully listen to recorded audio streams of interactions between human users and AI voice assistants.
• Timestamping & Boundaries: Mark precise start and end time boundaries for individual speech turns, background noise, hesitations, and assistant audio responses.

2. Multi-Turn Dialogue Annotation & Intent Labeling

• Turn Labeling: Classify conversational flow across multi-turn interactions (e.g., initial user trigger, system response, user clarification, contextual follow-up).
• Intent & Categorization: Apply strict taxonomy guidelines to label user intents, tone shifts, misinterpretations, and voice assistant accuracy across distinct dialogue turns.

3. Quality Assurance & Model Training Data Pipeline

• Guideline Adherence: Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail, adhering closely to project annotation guidelines and error-checking protocols.
• AI Training Impact: Ensure clean, accurately annotated audio data is uploaded to train large language and voice recognition models for global deployment.

Foundational Capabilities & Prerequisites

Required Credentials & Setup

• Language Requirement: Native speaker of the target language(s) required for the specific project batch.
• Hardware & Audio Setup: Access to a computer (PC or Mac) with reliable audio hardware, high-quality headphones, and a stable internet connection.
• Analytical Skills: Strong auditory attention to detail with the ability to analyze nuanced, fast-paced, multi-turn speech patterns.
• Project Commitment: Available to work remotely for 1 to 3 months with flexible, self-managed hours.
